Hey, I’m Danielle – portrait and brand photographer, creative explorer, and (let’s be real) a bit of a deep-feeler who likes to put pen to paper from time to time.

Starting a blog has been on my mind for ages, but like most creative things, it kept slipping down the to-do list (hello, endless to-dos). Sitting down to write often felt like a luxury, but truthfully, I’ve been craving a space to go a little deeper. Somewhere I can share more than just the final image that ends up on Instagram.

Don’t get me wrong, I love connecting on socials, but it’s such a scroll-on-to-the-next kind of space. And let’s be honest: we don’t own our accounts. I’ve seen too many creatives lose years of work, followers, and connection overnight to hacks or glitches, and it’s a reminder that we need to build spaces we do have control over. This blog is part of that shift, and (hopefully!) something that helps more people find their way to my work. 

It’s a slower, more intentional way to connect with those of you who appreciate more than just the highlight reel. A space where I can enjoy writing again, and where you can take your time, grab a cuppa, and learn a little more about my work (and me, if you're interested), without the next trending reel fighting for your attention. Because if you’re anything like me, it can all just feel like a whole heap of noise… and I, for one, am a little drained by it all lately.

This space will evolve as I do, but for now, it’s my way of pulling back the curtain and inviting you in a little closer.

I’m also slowly updating my website behind the scenes (finally!) making it clearer what sessions I offer, who I work with, and how you can book in. It’s a long process (I’m doing it all myself and fighting for the time to do it right now), but it’s in motion at last and this blog feels like the next step in making the whole experience more connected, transparent, and easy to navigate.
